Effective August 31, 2010 Garuda Indonesia will introduce direct flights from Jakarta-Tokyo-Jakarta as part of the airline’s continuous efforts to improve service quality by offering more routes and destinations to its passengers, particularly those traveling on business.
In line with Garuda Indonesia’s domestic network expansion program, especially in the Eastern Regions of Indonesia, on Thursday, July 1, 2010, Garuda Indonesia formally announced the opening of the Jakarta-Palu flight service with a stopover in Ujung Pandang.
Indonesia’s national airline, Garuda Indonesia took deliveries of three Boeing 737-800 Next Generation aircraft under a sale and leaseback agreement with MC Aviation Partners (MCAP), the aircraft leasing and trading arm of Mitsubishi Corporation.
(Amsterdam: 2 June 2010): Indonesia’s national airline, Garuda Indonesia, today took the first step in rebuilding its long-haul international network with the launch of a new daily service from Jakarta to Amsterdam via Dubai. Amsterdam is the first of several major European destinations which Garuda Indonesia intends to add to its fast-growing network over the next four years, including Frankfurt, London, Paris and Rome.
As part of its business transformation program and corporate identity brand refresh program, on Thursday, 27 May 2010, Garuda Indonesa presented its new employee uniform. The uniform's official launching took place in the Bali Room of Hotel Kempinski, Jakarta.
