After implementing its business transformation program since 2005, notably across its operations, management & human resources, finance and service standards, Garuda Indonesia is gradually reaping results.

The first of its kind in the world, the "Immigration on Board" service introduced by Garuda Indonesia together with Director General of Immigrations of the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights and BNI 46 was registered in the Museum Rekor Indonesia (MURI) as the first immigration document handing conducted in flight.

As part of its effort to implement ongoing service improvements, especially to facilitate more simple visa arrangements for tourists traveling to Indonesia, Garuda Indonesia - flag carrier of Indonesia - will introduce a new service “Immigration on Board” on Tokyo – Denpasar - Jakarta route starting 1 February 2010.

As part of the restructuring of its Floating Rate Notes due 2007 (of which US$115,680,216 and IDR 146,514,496,000 are outstanding), Garuda previously invited noteholders to tender their notes in a reverse Dutch auction process. Garuda wishes to announce that today it has confirmed winning tenders for approximately US$45 million of notes. Garuda will purchase these notes for an aggregate purchase price of US$25 million. This represents a weighted average price of 56% on the outstanding principal of such notes.

Jakarta, January 11 - 2010 PT Garuda Indonesia (persero) wishes to announce that the adjourned meeting of holders ("Noteholders") of the US$305,279,760 Floating Rate Notes due 2007 and IDR 366,286,240,000 Floating Rates Notes due 2007 (the "Notes") was held on January 11, 2010 at 10 a.m. in Singapore, at which Noteholders approved an extraordinary resolution for the restructuring of the Notes. Approximately 99.2% of Noteholders attending the meeting voted in favor of Garuda's restructuring plan.
