PT. Garuda Indonesia (Persero) has concluded a corporate sales agreement with PT. Shell Indonesia as part of the airline's efforts to enhance service towards its corporate customers as well as enhance the mobility of the oil company's employees and their family.
We, PT GARUDA INDONESIA (PERSERO) ("GARUDA"), a state-owned enterprise duly established under the Laws of the Republic of Indonesia by virtue of Government Regulation Number 102 of 1961 regarding The Establishment of Air Transportation State Company "Garuda Indonesian Airways", having its business field as the National Flag Carrier of the Republic of Indonesia, domiciled in Indonesia, would hereby like to present our confirmation, protest and objection and beg attention of the public to the following matters:
(Singapore, 3 February 2010): Indonesia's national airline, Garuda Indonesia, will receive 23 Boeing 737-800 Next Generation and one A330-200 aircraft this year, confirming the rapid expansion of its fleet as part of its five-year ‘Quantum Leap' transformation strategy. These 24 aircraft comprise nearly half of the 50 Boeing 737-800NGs that the carrier currently has on firm order.
Garuda Indonesia has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) to provide its passengers with the opportunity to offset their carbon generated from flying. Garuda Indonesia is the first airline in continent to join the program.
