To enhance synergy among state-owned companies and increase the market-shares of PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. and PT Bank Mandiri Tbk., on Thursday, January 26, 2012, the two companies signed a joint marketing agreement which includes ticket sales using credit and debit cards. Taking place at the Garuda Indonesia Gallery in Senayan City, Jakarta, the signing of the agreement was conducted by PT. Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk.’s EVP Marketing and Sales, M. The agreement includes the ”Buy 1 Get 1 Free” program that is offered on certain international routes for executive class and discount offers for Garuda Indonesia international flights (economy class) and domestic routes for all Bank Mandiri credit and debit card holders.
During the occasion, EVP Marketing and Sales, M. Arif Wibowo of PT Garuda Indonesia, M. Arif Wibowo, said that the program not only enhances synergy between the two companies, it is also part of the airline’s efforts to increase market share in both the domestic and international sectors. ”As one of the most prominant banks in Indonesia with a far-reaching customer network that extends across the country and beyond to foreign countries, Bank Mandiri offers a whole lot of market potential for Garuda Indonesia”, added Arif Wibowo.
Executive Vice President Consumer Finance Bank Mandiri Mansyur S. Nasution.
The ”Buy One Get One Free” program is offered during ticket purchase for international routes to Sydney, Melbourne, Dubai, Amsterdam, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Nagoya, Beijing, Seoul, Taipei and Hongkong. The buy and fly promotion period is valid until Desember 16, 2012.
The current cooperation with Bank Mandiri is a follow-up of a previous program launched in 2011 which had received a favorable response from the customers.
Garuda Indonesia also routinely organizes the Garuda Indonesia Travel Fair (GATF) which presents customers with a variety of attractive travel packages and tickets at affordable prices. Recently, Garuda Indonesia also held the ”Garuda Indonesia International Islamic Expo” which offers affordable Hajj and Umra packages.
