Maimoon Palace

Built in 1888 by the Sultan of Deli, the enchanting Maimoon Palace represents an everlasting beauty which can be enjoyed up to this day.

Stepping inside the palace, you’ll see photos and pictures of which bears historical values, including the owner of the palace himself, Yang Maha Mulia Tuanku Sultan Ma’moen AL Rasid Perkasa Alamsyah, who passed away in 1924.

The royal grandeur of Maimoon Palace is represented mainly by the color choices, with golden streaks and yellow ornaments all over the place. On the main hall, an elegant crystal chandelier hung from the ceiling. It is said that the chandelier is as old as the palace itself.

Exploring the historical palace, which was also the centre of the Deli Kingdom, we can easily say that the restoration of Maimoon Palace should be celebrated. Now and then, look up and you can admire the amazing blend of European and Islam architecture on the ceiling.

Maimoon Palace is not just a tourist attraction. The adjourning wing of the building is restricted to visitors since the guardians of the palace still lives there today. Only the main room is open to the public.
