Garuda Indonesia was named "The World's Best Regional Airline" by Skytrax, a London-based global airline review and ranking consultancy, on Thursday, July 12, during the "Farnborough Airshow" in London.
Skytrax CEO, Mr. Edward Plaisted, presented "The World's Best Regional Airline" award directly to Garuda Indonesia President & CEO, Emirsyah Satar. In addition to being voted "The World's Best Regional Airline", Garuda was also named "The Best Regional Airline in Asia".
"The World's Best Regional Airline" award was given to Garuda based on a global customer satisfaction survey conducted by Skytrax of 18 million passengers from 100 different countries between July 2011 and June 2012.
Garuda Indonesia President & CEO, Emirsyah Satar said that both "The World's Best Regional Airline" and "The Best Regional Airline in Asia" awards were the result of the hard work from all Garuda employees.
Commenting on the event, CEO SkyTrax, Edward Plaisted gave his sincere congratulation for Garuda Indonesia achievement. “It is clear that the transformation program is well implemented in all aspects. These awards are the true recognition for product and service that Garuda Indonesia is delivering to its customers.” Edward Plaisted added.
