Gratification Control Program

Gratuity Control Program is an initiative to implement the Fly Hi, particularly the honesty and integrity, as well as to implement the Good Corporate Governance principles, particularly the principle of transparency, responsibility and independence.

The Company works together with KPK in establishing gratuity control system in the Company. KPK provides assistance in the form of assessment on the Company’s readiness in implementing Gratuity Control Program, technical guidance for PPG Team and Training of Trainer for PPG Team and agents of change. The signing of MoU between the Company and KPK was held on February 10, 2011.

The Company’s policy of gratuity control stipulates that all the Company’s employees are prohibited from receiving gratuity and shall disclose to the Company if they receive gratuity and are put in such a hard position to decline the offer.

The Company conducts intensive socialization program to all employees and stakeholders of other companies. Socialization to all stakeholders is conducted by placing an announcement ad in 4 nationwide and local newspapers, announcing that the Company is prohibited from receiving gratuities of any kind. Socialization to stakeholders is also conducted by inviting them to an official meeting with the Company. Annually, socialization to supplier was held by organizing supplier gathering. And the same goes for agents.

Socialization to all the Company’s personnel was carried out through various media, printed and electronic media, such as email, intranet, bulletin and internal magazine. Socialization is also conducted through face-to-face meeting and discussion with employees. To submit reports of gratuities, the Company provides a special email address: gcg@garuda-indonesia.com.

Having conducted the socialization process, gratuity reports received by the Company indicates that the gratuity control program is understood and accepted by all employees. The number of gratuity report submitted can bee seen in the following table:
