PT. Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. recently signed a Partnership Agreement with Liverpool Football Club as part of the airline’s “Quantum Leap” program which will transform Garuda Indonesia into a Global Company. The agreement was signed on Monday, July 9, 2012, and will continue for three years (three seasons), until 2015.
This exclusive deal renders Garuda Indonesia as the “Global Official Airline” for Liverpool Football Club. The agreement also offers Garuda Indonesia the opportunity to carry out marketing communication campaigns by using
Club channels, such as a logo display on the “Light Emitting Diode/LED” positioned around the edge of the pitch at Anfield stadium during home games which will be broadcasted by top TV networks to international viewers all over the world. In addition, Garuda Indonesia is also given the access to reach over 10.2 million Liverpool FC fans through Liverpool FC’s official Facebook account and over 1.1 million Liverpool FC’s Twitter “followers”.
Garuda Indonesia President & CEO, Emirsyah Satar explained that the cooperation with Liverpool FC is in line with the airline’s “Quantum Leap” program which will strengthen Garuda Indonesia’s image as a Global Brand and a Global Player in the global aviation industry. The partnership provides a valuable opportunity for Garuda Indonesia to increase international awareness through an effective marketing communication facilitated by Liverpool FC’s global channels. “We are very pleased to join up with Liverpool Football Club. They are one of England’s best football clubs and is already a well-known global brand, with fans and supporters all over the world, including in Indonesia. “Liverpool, You’ll Never Walk Alone (YNWA),” added Emir.

This collaboration with Liverpool FC will give Garuda Indonesia the media exposure it needs to effectively increase its international brand awareness and also offers maximum benefit as Garuda advertisement are given a higher display frequency and longer duration.
