Garuda Indonesia has taken one step closer to becoming a global company by signing a partnership deal with Liverpool Football Club, one of England’s major clubs. Another partnership deal Garuda Indonesia has signed is a codeshare agreement with Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates. Through this codeshare partnership, Garuda Indonesia now has 16 destinations provided by this cooperation: Abu Dhabi (AUH), London (LHR), Manchester (MAN), Muscat (MCT), Athens (ATH), Moscow (DME), Paris (CDG), Brussel (BRU), Bahrain (BAH), Amsterdam (AMS), Milan (MXP), Denpasar (DPS), Manado (MDC), Surabaya (SUB), Balikpapan (BPN) and Makassar (UPG).
This is indeed good news for football lovers especially Liverpool fans who want to see a home game of their favorite football team. With this partnership, passengers of Garuda Indonesia can reach Liverpool by flying with Garuda Indonesia and Etihad Airways (EY) from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Jakarta to either Heathrow Airport in London or Manchester Airport in Manchester.
