CONDITION OF USE

GARUDA INDONESIA MOBILE CHECK IN

 

 

1.      GENERAL AGREEMENT

1.1.   Garuda Indonesia Mobile Check-in facility is owned and operated by PT. Garuda Indonesia (Persero), hereinafter called "Garuda Indonesia", through Garuda Indonesia mobile application. When Passenger/You, hereinafter called "Passenger", use Garuda Indonesia Mobile Check-in, it means that Passenger agree with this Condition of Use of Garuda Indonesia Mobile Check-in, hereinafter called "Condition of Use". If Passenger does not agree with this Condition of Use, please check-in using other alternative such as Web Check-in, City Check-in at Garuda Indonesia Sales Office, or regular check-in at Airport Check-in Counter.

1.2.   This Condition of Use is subject to change without prior notice to Passenger.

1.3.   Garuda Indonesia does not guarantee Passenger while accessing and/or using Garuda Indonesia Mobile Check-in will be uninterrupted or error free from errors, viruses, worms, spam or other attack.

1.4.   When Passenger use Garuda Indonesia Mobile Check-in, it means that Passenger agree and comply to the Terms and Conditions that apply in the Garuda Indonesia, including Conditions of Contract, Condition of Carriage, and other associated applicable terms and conditions related to Passenger’s trip plan using Garuda Indonesia flight.

 

 

2.      COPYRIGHT

2.1.   Mobile Check-in is an additional facility and alternative check-in provided by Garuda Indonesia for Passenger to ease the conduct of check-in by online but not to check-in the baggage.

2.2.   Passenger may not modify copy, distribute, transmit, display, perform, reproduce, publish, license, create derivative works from, transfer, or sell any information, software, products or services obtained from this Garuda Indonesia Mobile Check-in facility.

2.3.   Garuda Indonesia has licenses and rights (including trademarks, copyrights and patent rights) in relation to the software and all information and materials available through Garuda Indonesia Mobile Check-in. Passenger is not permitted to download or export or re-export any software or information or materials that are available through Garuda Indonesia Mobile Check-in except with prior written permission of Garuda Indonesia and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. In particular, Passenger can do the downloading while using Garuda Indonesia Mobile Check-in, in accordance with written instructions from Garuda Indonesia.

 

 

3.      THE USE OF GARUDA INDONESIA MOBILE CHECK IN

3.1.   Garuda Indonesia Mobile Check-in is a check-in facility made to assist Passenger in the check-in process for him/her and other passengers who have a family relationship (husband/wife & children).

3.2.   Passenger guarantee all information submitted in using Garuda Indonesia Mobile Check-in facility information is true and accurate.

3.3.   Unlawful use of Mobile Check-in will be given a penalty that is cancellation of a seat number that has been selected through the Garuda Indonesia Mobile Check-in facility.

 

 

4.      SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF GARUDA INDONESIA MOBILE CHECK IN

4.1.      Garuda Indonesia Mobile Check-in valid for :

1.   Garuda Indonesia Passenger with domestic destination who already has an Electronic Ticket (e-ticket) with confirms booking status.

2.   All class ticket.

3.   Available within 24 hours - 4 hours before departure time.

4.2.      Garuda Indonesia Mobile Check-in not valid for :

1.   Passenger in pregnant condition (recommended check-in at airport and bring a recommendation letter from a doctor or other documents in accordance with applicable law).

2.   Passenger travelling with baby, requires a wheelchair or stretcher case, or other special handling at airport.

3.   Passenger under 12 years old, whom traveled without accompanied by adults over the age of 17 years.

4.3.      Seat Selection

Passenger can make seat selection by using Mobile Check-in, but on irregularities condition caused by operational reasons such as aircraft exchange, weight and balance, or other reasons, Garuda Indonesia reserves the right to make change in seating without prior notice. Passenger will be informed at Check-in Counter.

4.4.      Boarding Pass

Once the Mobile Check-in process is completed, Passengers will get a Boarding Pass in a form of QR Code that automatically downloaded and saved in your Mobile Phone.

4.5.      Business Process in Airport

1.      Passengers are obliged to come to airport no later than 1 hour before departure time and bring along the Boarding Pass that has been saved in Mobile Phone. Passengers are required to ensure that the mobile battery status is full so that all process will going smoothly in airport since Passengers are need to show the Boarding Pass to Airport Officer.

2.      Passengers who purchase ticket via web by credit card must be included in itinerary and show the credit card to Check-in Counter.

3.      Entering the airport, Passengers only need to show the Boarding Pass in Mobile Phone to airport officer.

4.      Passengers with or without baggage must collect printed Boarding Pass at Airport Check-in Counter.

5.      Passengers are only allowed to carry ONE (1) baggage into cabin with a maximum size of length 56 cm, width 23 cm, height 36 cm and a maximum weight of 7 kg.

6.      Arriving at the airport, Passengers must report to Check-in Counter not less than 45 minutes before departure time by showing the Boarding Pass in Mobile phone and identification card with photo (Residential card/Passport) attached.

7.      Garuda Indonesia reserves the right to cancel the Mobile Check-in if Passengers late to report.

4.6.      Passenger Service Charge/Airport Tax

Passengers are obliged to pay Passenger Service Charge/Airport Tax at Airport Check-in Counter.

4.7.      Mobile Check-in Cancellation Obligation Report

Mobile Check-in cancellation must be reported by Passenger by calling Garuda Indonesia Call Center +62-21-23519999 (Indonesia region only) and 0804-1-807-807.

4.8.      Emergency Exit Seats

Garuda Indonesia reserves the right for running safety procedures for Passenger who sits near the emergency door or window (emergency exit). Garuda Indonesia will change the seat if the age, mental condition, or psychological of the Passenger has a dangerous potential for Passenger itself or other Passenger in an emergency.

4.9.      System Disorders

In the event of errors or problems in the process of Mobile Check-in, then the final valid check-in data is the data at the check-in counter at the airport.

5.      VALUABLE BAGGAGE

Articles such as medicine, money, jewelry, negotiable papers, securities, valuable, telephone cellular, keys and documents shall not be included in checked baggage, but should be carried by passenger at all the time.

 

   

6.      LIQUID, AEROSOL, AND GELS (INTERNARTIONAL FLIGHT)

Substances will have to be carried in a re-sealable transparent plastic bag, no larger than one liter (30cm x 40cm) or maximum capacity 1000 ml (one liter).

 

 

7.      DANGEROUS GOODS

Passenger who brings dangerous goods below but not limited to, must report to check-in counter.

a)      Security type attach cases, cash boxes, cash bag incorporating dangerous goods such as spare lithium batteries or pyrotechnic devices, are totally forbidden.

b)      Disabling devices such as mace, pepper spray, etc. containing an irritant or incapacitating substance are prohibited on the person, in checked and carry-on baggage.

c)      Personal medical oxygen devices that utilize liquid oxygen are prohibited on the person, in checked and carry-on baggage.

d)    Batteries of power-driven wheelchair and mobility devices are considered dangerous good and therefore special acceptance and loading instruction apply.

 

 

8.      PASSENGER & BAGGAGE PROFILING QUESTIONAIRE

Passenger should answer these questions and if the answer at least for 1 question is no for number a or b, and the answer is yes for number c, d, or e, than passenger must report to check-in counter.

a)      Is this your bag?

b)      Did you pack it by yourself?

c)      Does your bag contain any item(s) that you are carrying on behalf of someone else?

d)     Could anyone have put anything into it since you packed it?

e)      Does it contain any electrical, electronic item(s) or valuable goods?

 

 

9.      PROHIBITED ITEMS

Prohibited items are defined as those articles that shall never be carried in the cabin of an aircraft or taken into the security restricted area of an airport. These measures are taken to prevent an act of unlawful interference or endanger the safety of aircraft, passengers, air crew and property on board. To all passengers these items shall not be carried or do not pack the items on your carry-on or checked baggage. These are the categories that any passengers shall not carry on board aircraft. Please note that these items will be retrieved at the boarding gate by the local authorities and depending on local conditions, the items may not be returned to you. The following are examples of prohibited items categorized in five generic categories.

a)      Blunt Instrument : any blunt object capable of being used to cause injury, for example

(i)   Baseball and softball bats, billiard stick, cricket bats, hockey sticks, skateboards, clubs or batons, golf clubs;

(ii)  Martial arts equipment e.g. knuckledusters, nunchaku, clubs;

(iii) Kayak and canoe paddles.

 

b)      Explosive and flammable materials : any explosive or highly combustible substance  which pose a risk to the health of passengers and crew or the security /safety of aircraft or property, for example :

(i)   Gas and gas containers e.g. butane, propane, oxygen, aerosol and spray paint;

(ii)  Flammable liquid, e.g. alcohol beverages exceeding 70% by volume, petrol/gasoline, diesel, lighter fluid, ethanol, turpentine and paint thinner;

(iii) Explosives and explosive device e.g. detonators and fuses, fireworks, flares in any form, smoke generating canisters or cartridges, grenades of all types, mines and other explosive military stores;

(iv) Additionally, the US Transportation Security Administration (TSA) ruled that lighters (butane, absorbed fuel, electric battery power, novelty) are not to be carry-on the person, or in the carry on and checks baggage. This ruling applies to all passengers arriving into or departing from United States of America

c)      Chemical and Toxic Substances : any chemical or toxic substances which pose a risk, for example :

(i)   Corrosive or bleaching substances e.g. mercury, chlorine ,Acids and alkalis e.g. spill able ‘wet’ batteries;

(ii)  Disabling or incapacitating sprays e.g. mace, pepper spray, tear gas, fire extinguisher;

(iii) Poisons, infectious or biological hazardous materials e.g. infected blood, bacteria and viruses, radioactive material;

 

d)     Firearms, Guns and Weapons : any object capable, or appearing capable, of discharging a projectile or causing injury, for example :

(i)   All firearms e.g. pistols, rifles, shotgun, Signal flare pistols, starter pistols, component parts of firearms;

(ii)  Toy guns of all types e.g. air pistols, pellet guns, lighters shaped like a firearm, replica and imitation firearms;

(iii)  Stun or shocking devices e.g. cattle prods, ballistic conducted energy weapons (taser);

(iv) Industrial bolt and nail guns;

 

e)      Pointed Edged Weapons and Sharp Objects : any pointed or bladed item capable of being used to cause injury, for example :

(i)   Axes and hatches, ice axe;

(ii)  Knives, both real and ceremonial knives, with blades more than 6 cm, made of metal or any other material strong enough to be used as a potential weapon e.g. meat cleavers, machete, open razor, scalpels, sabers, swords, scissors;

(iii)  Ice skates, ski and walking/hiking poles;

(iv) Tradesman’s tools that have the potential to be used as a pointed or edged weapon e.g. drills and drill bit, box cutter, utility knife, all saws, screwdrivers, crowbars, hammers, pliers, wrenches/spanners;

 

10.  SECURITY
Garuda Indonesia reserves the right to take all steps to ensure that the data or information submitted by Passenger to Garuda Indonesia using Garuda Indonesia Mobile Check-in will be kept confidential and protected from unauthorized access, but Garuda Indonesia does not guarantee against unauthorized access and is not responsible for unauthorized access in any way.

 

 

11.  AGREEMENTS AND REGULATIONS

11.1.     Passenger of Garuda Indonesia comply with Condition of Use of Garuda Indonesia Mobile Check-in Facility, and other terms & conditions, including Conditions of Contract, Conditions of Carriage, and other terms and conditions related to Passenger’s itinerary using Garuda Indonesia flight.

11.2.     This Terms and Conditions have been prepared in the English and Indonesian languages, which the Indonesian language version shall prevail for any interpretation or any dispute or question arising hereunder.
