Famed for its picturesque cliff-side area and staggering clifftop sunsets, Uluwatu is definitely a part of Bali that you cannot miss out on.

Also highly sought-after wedding destination for its magnificent cliff-side view, Uluwatu that located only 20 kilometers from Ngurah Rai Airport, also houses some of Bali’s most scenic view; from Blue Point Beach, Dreamland Beach in Pecatu, Perawan Beach, to Padang Padang Beach.

  1. Kecak Dance Performance
    A quintessentially ‘Bali’ activity that is a must when in Uluwatu is watching Kecak Dance performance that represents Balinese culture. Uluwatu Temple is arguably the best place to watch the dance at its cliff-top amphitheatre. Approximately 75 men will be performing, chanting ‘cak’ repeatedly in unison while waving their hands up in the air, with no background music. Telling the tale of Ramayana usually, the dancers circling a fire pit which adds to its mystical energy. Typically performed after sunset, watching a Kecak event could be the perfect end to your day in Uluwatu.

  2. Blue Point Beach
    Being in Uluwatu, you will be spoilt for choice when it comes to the beaches. The Blue Point Beach, also known as Suluban Beach, is tucked away in the Pecatu village and has the best beach and sea view. The path that leads to this beach will probably not be the easiest to go through – and to reach the beach you will have to go down dozens of steps that are steep and sharp, alongside restaurants with magnificent view. It’s no wonder that this beach becomes a favorite amongst surfers - not only are the waves perfect to surf on, but also the huge sense of privacy. Many visitors, mainly surfers, set up a tent to camp overnight at the beach to watch the sunrise and save a trip up the steep steps.
