INFORMATION ABOUT OPERATIONAL POLICY DUE TO THE IMPACT COVID-19 OUTBREAK

Travel Restrictions & Document Requirements

Travel restrictions and document requirements mentioned for each destination below are based on each destination governments/local governments/related authorities regulations

Please note that the information on this page is updated regularly, however entry requirements may change at short notice. Passengers are recommended to check the latest travel requirement issued by the related local authorities before booking and travelling with us.

The following provisions are the travel document requirements during the public activity restrictions (PPKM) effective from 29 August 2022 until further notice

Attention: COVID-19 test results must be published from one of the health facilities registered on the Indonesian Health Ministry that you can find here and passengers must make sure that it is uploaded to the eHAC system integrated into PeduliLindungi app by the health facility (you can download the app on Android and iOS)

Important Notes

  1. Negative COVID-19 test results must be published from one of the health facilities registered on the Indonesian Health Ministry that you can find here and passengers must make sure that it is uploaded to the eHAC system integrated to PeduliLindungi app by the health facility
  2. If there is a different requirement between the origin and destination, the regulations follow the more stringent requirements or follow the local Port Health Office (KKP) policies
  3. All passengers required to fill Electronic Health Alert Card (eHAC) that that is integrated with the PeduliLindungi app which can be downloaded on Android and iOS
  4. Passengers with urgent traveling purposes and are not yet or cannot be vaccinated due to medical reasons based on a statement letter from a medical specialist from a Government Hospitals may continue their journey by providing negative RT-PCR results based on the destination requirements
  5. Passengers departing from areas that do not have RT-PCR test facilities that can publish results in a short time are encouraged to confirm the policy of the departure airport authority by contacting the local Garuda Indonesia branch office
  6. Passengers departing from border areas and 3T areas (tertinggal, terdepan & terluar) where there are no Health facilities which provide COVID-19 Test facilities (RT-PCR or Rapid Antigen test) and already received the first dose of vaccination or have not been vaccinatedcould continue to depart with the following conditions:
    • Journey other than to Bali Island: Allowed by the Departure Airport Authority with the possibility of additional provisions from the Arrival Airport Authority at the cost of the passengers’ own expense.
    • Journey to Bali Island :
      • Allowed by the Departure Airport Authority
      • At least have a Negative Rapid Antigen Test Result upon departure
      • According to the provisions of the authorities in Bali, passengers will be re-tested RT-PCR in Bali at the cost of the passengers’ own expense.
  7. Domestic transit/connecting flight passengers (without exiting the transit area) may follow the final destination requirements
  8. International flight passengers entering Indonesia with a connecting to domestic flight destination must follow the international arrival requirements (please see International Flight Entering Indonesia below) and the final domestic destination requirements as above
  9. Foreigners who are not/yet vaccinated and are leaving the Indonesian territory through a transit/connecting domestic flight are not required to show a vaccine certificate, as long they do not leave the airport area during transit and are permitted by the local Port Health Authority (KKP) at the departure airport
  10. Additional requirements referring to local provisions Bali (DPS), for passengers already vaccinated the first dose / not yet vaccinated so it must be accompanied by a negative PCR / Antigen result: If the negative test result for COVID-19 has not been integrated with PeduliLindungi, the negative test result printout of the RT-PCR test must be accompanied by a barcode / QR Code

Besides the above requirements, upon arrival at the destination airport, passengers are possible to go through additional health checks or to fill other forms/statement letters required by local authorities/local government. 

Passengers are requested to download and use the PeduliLindungi application for the process of checking flight requirements documents (vaccine certificates and negative COVID-19 test results) at the departure airport. We recommend that passengers also carry a print out of the original required documents (vaccine certificate and negative COVID-19 test result) before arriving at the departure airport as back up.

This provision is based on the Task Force for Handling COVID-19 Circular Number 24 of 2022 and Ministry of Transportation Circular Number 82 of 2022, and effective from August 29th, 2022 until further notice

Garuda Indonesia is not responsible for any lack or mistake on any of the required documents and has the right to cancel the flight of any passenger that does not meet the requirement.

  • Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK) Jakarta - Tangerang
  • Juanda International Airport (SUB) - Surabaya
  • Sam Ratulangi International Airport (MDC) Manado
  • I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) Denpasar - Bali (for foreigners with tourism purpose)
  • Hang Nadim International Airport (BTH) Batam - Kepulauan Riau (for foreigners with tourism purpose)
  • Raja Haji Fiisabilillah International Airport (TNJ) Tanjung Pinang - Kepulauan Riau (for foreigners with tourism purpose with charter flights)

Indonesian Citizens (WNI)
All Indonesian citizens are allowed to enter Indonesia
Foreign Citizens (WNA)
Foreign Citizens from all foreign countries who will enter Indonesia, either directly or by transitting in foreign countries, are temporarily prohibited from entering Indonesia unless they meet one of the following criteria:
  1. Referring to Regulation of Indonesian Ministry of Law and Human Rights Number 34 of 2021. these restrictions are excluded against foreigners holding legal and valid Visa and Stay Permit (consisting of: Service Visa, Diplomatic Visa, Visit Visa, Temporary Stay Visa, Official Stay Permit, Diplomatic Stay Permit, Temporary Stay Permit (KITAS), Permanent Stay Permit (KITAP), foreigners with health and humanitarian purpose (after receiving a recommendation from the ministry/institution that carries out the COVID- 9 handling function), and transportation crew that comes with the conveyance
  2. Referring to the Travel Corridor Agreement (TCA)
  3. Obtained a special written consideration/permission from an Indonesian Ministry/Institution
  4. Delegations of G20 member countries
Foreigners with tourism purpose may enter Indonesia with the following provisions:
  1. Short Visit Visa holders or other entry permits in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations
Documents Requirements & Health Protocols
1 Comply with the health protocols set by the Indonesian government

  • For Indonesian Citizens (WNI) that has been vaccinated for the second or third dose, do not required to show a negative RT-PCR test result
  • For Foreign Citizens (WNA) that has been fully vaccinated dose, do not required to show a negative RT-PCR test result
3 Show a complete (full dose) COVID-19 vaccine card/certificate (printed/digital) that has been done minimum 14 days before departure date written in English or origin country language, in a condition where the passenger cannot show a complete COVID-19 card/certificate, then the following rules apply:
a. Indonesian Citizens (WNI) can enter Indonesia and obliged to vaccinated upon arrival in Indonesia at the entry point
b. Foreign Citizens (WNA) who meet the following requirements will be vaccinated upon arrival in Indonesia
  • Foreigners between 6 - 17 years old
  • Diplomatic Stay Permit/Official Stay Permit holders
  • Has an invitation from Indonesian Ministry
Excluded from the mandatory complete COVID-19 vaccine certificate requirements are:
  1. Indonesian Citizens/Foreigners under 6 years old who meets the following requirements:
    - Accompanied by parent with proof of family relation
  2. Diplomatic Visa / Official Visa holders related to state visits (min. Minister level) above and their entourage who make official/state visits
  3. Foreigners who enter Indonesia under the Travel Corridor Arrangement (TCA) scheme, according to the principle of reciprocity while still implementing strict health protocols
  4. Indonesian Citizens/Foreigners who are not yet or cannot be vaccinated due to medical reasons based on a statement letter from a medical specialist from a government hospital in their origin country
4 In the event that international travelers carry out centralized quarantine with self-financing, they are required to show proof of payment confirmation for booking quarantine accommodation from the accommodation provider while staying in Indonesia

Upon arrival, the passenger must go through an Isotermal Molecular test (NAAT/similiar) or RT-PCR test at the arrival airport in order to determine the health status of international travelers, and are required to undergo centralized quarantine with the following conditions:

  • 5 x 24 hours for International Traveller who have not been able to get vaccinated or just received first dose of vaccine
  • For International Travellers who have received the second or third dose of vaccine, they are allowed to continue their journey
  • For International Traveler under 18 years of age or 18 years old and in need of special protection, the duration of quarantine follows the provisions imposed on parents or caregivers/travel companions.
  • For International Travellers with special health conditions or comorbid diseases that cause travellers to have not and/or are unable to take part in the COVID-19 vaccination, they are allowed to continue the journey by being obliged to attach a doctor's certificate from the Government Hospital of the country of departure stating that the person concerned has not and/or has not. can follow the COVID-19 vaccination
  • Quarantine only for International Travellers with positive result RT-PCR, with conditions :
    • Asymptomatic or experiencing mild symptoms, isolation carried in centralized insolation facilities set by the government
    • Moderate or severe symptoms, isolation is carried out at a COVID-19 referral hospital

In accordance with the Decree of the Head of the Task Force for Handling COVID-19 concerning Entry Points, Quarantine Places, and RT-PCR Obligations for Indonesian Citizens, International Travelers , namely for the following

  1. Indonesian Citizens (WNI) with these criteria: Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) who return to Indonesia to stay at least 14 days in Indonesia; students; or Government Officials returning from a duty trip; are required to undergo a centralized quarantine designated by the authority at the expense of the Indonesian government
  2. Indonesian Citizens outside the criteria mentioned in point 5.1. and Foreign Citizens (WNA) including foreign diplomats, (exceptions: the head of the foreign representatives and the family of the head of the foreign representatives) are required to undergo quarantine in a quarantine accommodation that has been certified by the Indonesian Health Ministry at the expense of their own.
  3. Exempted from the mandatory quarantine are Diplomatic Visa & Official Visa holders, State Visits min. Minister level and their entourage, and foreigners who enter Indonesia under the TCA
1q In the event where International Traveller arrival showed symptoms and/or have body temperature above 37.5 celcius degree, must do RT-PCR retest, will be given to Indonesian citizens (WNI) at the Indonesian government expense and Foreign citizens (WNA) at their own expense
7 In the event where a Foreign Citizen (WNA) is unable to pay for their quarantine and/or medical treatment expenses, then the sponsor-ministry/institution/company that has given consideration/permission for the foreigner to enter the Indonesian territory may be held accountable
8 Foreigners and Indonesian citizens traveling abroad with the purpose of traveling can enter the territory of Indonesia through the specified entry point by fulfilling the requirements above, and must attach:
  • Proof of booking confirmation and payment of accommodation from the accommodation provider while staying in Indonesia.
  • For Foreign Citizen, required to attach Short Visit Visa or other entry permits in accordance with applicable laws and regulations and Proof of ownership of health insurance which includes financing for handling COVID-19; and

The above provisions are referring to COVID-19 Handling Acceleration Task Force Circular Letter Number 25 of 2022 and Circular Letter of The Ministry of Transportation Number 88 of 2022, effective from 1 September 2022 until further notice.

Passengers also may check the document requirements on Traveldoc. Besides the above requirements, upon arrival at the destination airport, passengers are possible to go through additional health checks or to fill other forms/statement letters required by local authorities/local government. Passengers are expected to prepare a copy and original copy of the documents prior to arrival at the departure airport and present it upon check-in. Garuda Indonesia is not responsible for any lack or mistake on any of the required documents and has the right to cancel the flight of any passenger that does not meet the requirement.

    • Passengers must have: a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated at least 14 days before arrival. Vaccines accepted are AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), AstraZeneca (SK Bioscience), Covaxin, Covishield, Janssen, Moderna (Spikevax), Nuvaxovid (Novavax), Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty), Sinopharm and Sinovac; or
    • a vaccination status on the HealthHub app or TraceTogether app; or
    • an acceptance letter issued by the Safe Travel Office (STO), confirming that the traveller's vaccination certificate has been verified using the Vaccination Check Portal; or
    • an SGAC acknowledgement email confirming that the traveller’s vaccination certificate has been verified.

    Until August 28, 2022,COVID-19 Vaccination requirement does not apply to:
    • unvaccinated or partially vaccinated nationals and permanent residents of Singapore;
    • passengers younger than 18 years with a Long-Term Pass or the respective In-Principle Approval (IPA);
    • passengers younger than 13 years who are not nationals of Singapore;
    • passengers with a vaccination exemption letter;
    • passengers with an Approval Letter for Entry (ALE) from the Safe Travel Office (STO), Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), Ministry of Education (MOE), Ministry of Health (MOH), Ministry of Manpower (MOM), Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) or Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI);
    • passengers with a Business Travel Pass (BTP);
    • residents of Brunei Darussalam with a valid SafeTravel Pass approval letter issued by Singapore under the Singapore-Brunei Reciprocal Green Lane, a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken at most 3 days before departure from the first embarkation point, and a return/onward ticket. They must have stayed in Brunei Darussalam in the last 14 days before departure;
    • residents of China (People's Rep.) with a valid Safe Travel Pass approval letter issued by Singapore under the Singapore-China Reciprocal Green Lane, a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken at most 3 days before departure from the first embarkation point, and a return/onward ticket. They must have stayed in Chongqing, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Tianjin, or Zhejiang in the last 7 days before departure;
    • returning passengers with a Work Pass, Student's Pass, Dependant's Pass, or Long-Term Visit Pass who have an Entry Travel Pass issued by the Brunei authorities under the Singapore-Brunei Reciprocal Green Lane or an invitation letter issued by the Chinese authorities under the Singapore-China Fast Lane.
  • Passengers without one of the vaccination documents mentioned in the item 1 above, must have a negative COVID-19 test taken at most 2 days before the day of departure from the first embarkation point. Tests accepted are: LAMP, NAAT, NA-PCR, PCR, rapid antigen, rapid PCR and RT-PCR. Self-administered rapid antigen tests remotely supervised by a provider in Singapore are also accepted. If passengers have transited for more than 24 hours before arriving in Singapore, the negative test must be taken at most 2 days before the day of departure of the last direct flight to Singapore.   • passengers younger than 13 years;

Passengers transiting through Singapore must have their baggage checked through to their destination.

Kuala Lumpur - Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL)

  1. Passengers must install 'MySejahtera app' on their phone and complete the pre-departure form.
    - This does not apply to nationals of Malaysia.
  2. Passengers must have a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR or rapid antigen test taken at most 2 days before departure from the first embarkation point.
    This does not apply to:
    - passengers younger than 18 years.
    Passengers with:
    - a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated at least 14 days before arrival; or
    - a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated and received a booster dose.

  3. Passengers are subject to a COVID-19 test upon arrival at their own expense.
    This does not apply to:
    - passengers younger than 18 years.

    - a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated and received a booster dose.

Bangkok

Bangkok - Suvarnabhumi International Airport (BKK)

  • Passengers must have a Thailand Pass QR code obtained at https://tp.consular.go.th
  • Passengers entering Thailand must have a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated with AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Covaxin, Covishield, Janssen, Moderna (Spikevax), Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty), Sinopharm, Sinovac or Sputnik V at least 14 days before departure; This does not apply to:
    • passengers traveling under the Alternative Quarantine (AQ) scheme;
    • passengers younger than 12 years;
    • passengers younger than 18 years traveling under the Sandbox program with their fully-vaccinated parents/guardians;
    • passengers between 12 and 17 years with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they received one dose of AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Covaxin, Covishield, Janssen, Moderna (Spikevax), Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty), Sinopharm, Sinovac or Sputnik V;
    • passengers with a recovery certificate and a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they received at least one dose of AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Covaxin, Covishield, Janssen, Moderna (Spikevax), Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty), Sinopharm, Sinovac or Sputnik V at least 14 days before departure.
  • Passengers entering or transiting through Thailand must have medical insurance with minimum coverage of USD 20,000. This does not apply to nationals of Thailand.
  • Passengers traveling under the Test & Go scheme must have a hotel reservation for 1 night at AQ, OQ or SHA+ hotel and 2 COVID-19 tests (one RT-PCR test on day 1 and one antigen test on day 5) obtained at www.thailandsha.com or https://asq.in.th
  • Passengers traveling under the Sandbox Program scheme must:
    • arrive at Bangkok (BKK), Phuket (HKT) or Ko Samui (USM); and
    • have a hotel reservation for 5 nights at SHA+ hotel obtained at www.thailandsha.com and proof of payment for COVID-19 tests (one RT-PCR test on day 1 and one antigen test on day 5). They are subject to quarantine for 5 days.
  • Passengers traveling under the Alternative Quarantine (AQ) scheme must have proof of payment for COVID-19 tests; and a hotel reservation at AQ, OQ or AHQ hotel obtained at www.thailandsha.com and https://asq.in.th for 5 nights.
  • Passengers transiting through Thailand must have health insurance to cover COVID-19 expenses (minimum coverage of USD 20,000).
  • Starting May 1, 2022, the following provisions apply to passengers which is, Who have been fully vaccinated with a full dose  :
    1. Have a certificate of full dose
    2. Have a health insurance vaccine certificate to cover the cost of COVID-19 (minimum coverage of USD 10,000).
    Who have not been fully vaccinated :
    1. Have a RT PCR test results letter 72 hours before departure
    2. Health insurance to cover the cost of COVID-19 (minimum coverage of USD 10,000).
    3. Carrying out quarantine provisions in accordance with the provisions of the Government of Thailand

Starting 1 June 2022,

All quarantine activities will be stopped, as for the requirements are:

  • For Thai citizens:
    • Not required to register on the Thailand Pass, travellers can enter Thailand freely without quarantine,
    • Vaccine certificates. There is a possibility from immigration officers to check vaccination certificates. If passengers are unable to show their vaccination certificate, they can still enter Thailand.  
    • Without a COVID-19 test before or after arrival, and without a vaccination certificate (return to pre-pandemic arrangements).
    • Passengers who show flu-like symptoms or have a body temperature above normal limits will be required to take a COVID-19 test at the airport. If they test positive, they will be transferred to a hospital where the doctor will determine the next course of action (hospitalization, home quarantine, etc.).
  • For non-Thai residents :
    • Passengers must have a Thailand Pass QR code obtained at the https://tp.consular.go.th with a new feature, system will approve within 1-2 hours which previously took 48 hours, and receive pin code and QR code
    • Passengers are required to upload all documents on the Thailand Pass
    • Passengers with a full dose:
      • Copy of passport
      • Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate
      • Proof of health insurance with a minimum coverage of USD 10,000
    • Passengers who have not received 2 doses of vaccine / not at all
      • Copy of passport
      • Negative COVID-19 RT-PCR result or Antigen test max 3x24hrs. This not apply to :
        • Passengers under 6 years of age who are accompanied by their fully vaccinated parent or guardian;
        • Passengers under 18 years of age with certificate COVID-19 which indicates that they received one dose of vaccine
      • Proof of health insurance with a minimum coverage of USD 10,000
  • Airlines may refuse boarding if non-Thai passengers are unable to present all the required documents, even if they have a Thai QR Code Pass.
  • Non-Thai passengers who are unable to present a vaccination certificate or COVID-19 test result upon entry into Thailand are required to take a professional antigen test at the airport. From 1 July 2022
All passengers can enter Thailand with the following steps:

  1. Thailand Pass is no longer required to enter Thailand.

Starting June 10, 2022,

MOFA (Japan Ministry of Foreign Affairs) through its official website announced the country classification in 3 groups, namely: Blue, Yellow and Red. where the good news is that INDONESIA is included in the BLUE categorized country which means Indonesian citizens have lowest restrictions upon arrival in Japan.The requirements are:

  • Rapid tests and RT-PCR tests will not be carried out upon arrival for passengers arriving from Blue countries [including Indonesia]
  • Quarantine is not required for passengers arriving from blue countries After being classified in the blue country group,
  • Vaccination certificates are not mandatory. 
  • VISA is still required [VISA exemption policy is still terminated]
  • A negative RT-PCR test result taken 72 hours before departure is still mandatory
  • Official Japanese application [My SOS] is required upon arrival A small group of tourists is granted to visit / travel Japan with an accompanying tour conductor and a local Japanese travel agency. Meanwhile, individual travelers have not been allowed.

Starting September 7, 2022,
The Japanese government does not require a PCR test 72 hours before departure from the origin station for arriving passengers who have received at least 3x the dose of COVID-19 vaccination.   
The types of vaccines are as follows:

  1. the 1st and 2nd doses: Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Moderna, Janssen (can be counted 2 times for 1 vaccine), Bharat Biotech, Novavax
  2. 3rd dose: Pfizer, Moderna, Novavax, AstraZeneca, Janssen, Bharat Biotech In addition to the above kind of vaccines are not acceptable for the exception of PCR tests.

The airline shall refuse boarding of the passenger, if a passenger does not have a valid document

All entrants arriving in Japan after 00:00 JST on September 7th , 2022, who obtain valid vaccination certificates will not be required to obtain certificate of testing for COVID-19.
 Vaccination certificates are valid only if they meet the following requirements  :

  1. The certificate must be issued by a government or public institution.

 The vaccination certificate issued in Japan must be one of the following:

  • “Vaccination Certificate of COVID-19” issued by the Japanese government or a local government
  •  “Certificate of Vaccination for COVID-19” issued by a local government
  •  “Record of Vaccination for COVID-19” issued by a medical institution
  • Another certificate deemed equivalent to documents listed above
  1. The following items must be shown in Japanese or English:

Name, Date of birth, Vaccine name / Manufacturer Date of vaccination, The number of doses administered

  • If date of birth is not included in the certificate, it may still be considered valid if it contains your passport number or other information that can be used to verify that the vaccination certificate is yours.
  • If the vaccination certificate is in a language other than Japanese or English, it may be considered valid if it is accompanied by a Japanese or English translation and the content can be confirmed
  1. The certificate must clearly show that you have received 3 doses of any of the following vaccines (vaccine name/major manufacturer):
  • COMIRNATY intramuscular injection / Pfizer
  • Spikevax intramuscular injection / Moderna
  • Vaxzevria intramuscular injection / AstraZeneca
  •  JCOVDEN intramuscular injection / Janssen ・
  •  COVAXIN / Bharat Biotech
  • Nuvaxovid intramuscular injection / Novavax
  • For the JCOVDEN intramuscular injection/Janssen, one dose is considered equivalent to two doses
  • Doses will also be considered valid even if each dose are not the same vaccine.

For example, COMIRNATY manufactured by Fosun Pharma or BioNTech, Covishield and COVOVAX manufactured by the Serum Institute of India are treated as identical to COMIRNATY intramuscular injection / Pfizer, Vaxzevria intramuscular injection / AstraZeneca and Nuvaxovid intramuscular injection / Novavax, respectively.

 Hong Kong

Hong Kong - Hong Kong International Airport (HKG)

Starting 1 June 2022 at 00.00 (HKG Time):
The HKG Government announced the adjustment of the RT-PCR test-based Nucleic Acid Amplification Test (NAAT) policy in the pre-departure and post-arrival processes where this policy applies to people entering Hong Kong from outside Hong Kong and Taiwan. The policy adjustments are as follows:

  • Accreditation or recognition by the origin station relevant authority of RT-PCR documentation is no longer required.
  •  Apart from the above adjustments, the boarding requirements for general pax to HKG still refer to the current policy as follows:
  • Complete vaccination (at least 2 doses)
  •  RT-PCR test laboratory reports (in English), except for children under 3 years.
  • Confirmation of DQH (Designated Quarantine Hotel) for 7 days
  •  Alternative to pre-departure testing (Rapid Test Antigen) arrangements for recovering people who were previously infected
  • Regarding provisions for Transit/transfer activities at HKIA:
  • RT-PCR test is not required
  • PRC passport holders who wish to travel overland to Mainland China, are still required to comply with the Boarding requirements for general pax to HKG.
  • Air-to-air transit/transfer via HKIA to Mainland China still not possible

Start July 28 2022
The local government is upgrading the system (trial) for passengers arriving in Hong Kong;

  • Before arriving in Hong Kong passengers have to submit an electronic health declaration to get a QR code before boarding at origin station
  •  The electronic health declaration QR code is valid for 96 hours (4 days), passengers can submit the declaration in 3 days before departure
  • This electronic health declaration QR code can be downloaded, on a screen shot or printed out
  • For passengers who have not been able to show the QR code electronic health declaration still able to enter Hong Kong during the period of this trial.

Starting August 12, 2022
For inbound passengers from Taiwan/other overseas, the HKG Government requirements:

  • Quarantine with the model '3+4', i.e. passanger will be subject to mandatory quarantine at DQH for three nights (must hold a confirmed DQH room reservation 3 nights), followed by medical supervision at home/other places for four days
  • Before flying passengers are required to submit a QR Code at least 72 hours before departure on the link https://www.chp.gov.hk/hdf. Link can also be in  access via PC / Desktop or mobile phone
  • After QR submission, a color display will come out:
    • Green: Requirements are complete
    • Pink: The hotel that has been booked is not verified in the system, it will be confirmed to the hotel upon arrival
    • Red: Vaccination requirements are not appropriate, denied boarding
    • Other color: Check vaccine status and check hotel confirmation
  • Negative pre-departure PCR test report
 Seoul

Seoul - Incheon International Airport (ICN)

  • Passengers both Korean Citizens and Citizens of other Countries must have a printed medical certificate with a negative Coronavirus (COVID-19) PCR test result issued at most 48 hours before departure from the first embarkation point. The certificate must be in English, Korean or accompanied by a certified English or Korean translation. The name in the certificate must match the name on the passport. The negative RT-PCR test result must be issued from a Health Service Facility designated by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea for Indonesia.
  • Starting May 3, 2021, Passengers who are citizens of 21 countries who are allowed to enter South Korea without a visa, must have an approved K-ETA [see here].
  • Passengers must complete and submit the Facility Quarantine Consent form and comply with the quarantine provisions set by the local authorities.
  • Starting from July 2021, Indonesia is included in the category of endemic countries, therefore there will be a tightening of supervision from the relevant authorities for passengers departing from Indonesia to South Korea. Passengers must ensure that they carry all  required relevant flight documents . For detailed information, kindly to always refer to the official IATA website and the official Korean government website.
  • Starting March 7, 2022, Korean citizens who are infected with COVID-19 within 10-40 days from the date of departure and have recovered, can board a plane to Korea without valid test results (provided that they must include several proof documents such as quarantine release documents, medical confirmation of recovery, etc. Not valid for Passengers with fever above 37.5℃)
  • Starting March 14, 2022, negative RT-PCR test results do not have to be issued from the designated Health Service Facility (the list of Indonesian hospitals designated by the South Korean Authority is no longer valid, passengers can do the test at any hospital)
  • Starting March 1, 2022, free quarantine provisions apply for:
  • Passengers with a COVID-19 vaccination certificated showing that they were fully vaccinated at least 14 days and at most 180 days before arrival. The certificate must be registered in the Korean national system COOV (Passengers receive the vaccine in South Korea and have a South Korean resident card). They must register at https://cov19ent.kdca.go.kr/ before departure and will receive a QR code which must be presented upon arrival; or
  • Passengers with a COVID-19 vaccination certificated showing that they were fully vaccinated and received a booster dose at least 14 days before arrival. The certificate must be registered in the Korean national system COOV (Passengers receive the vaccine in South Korea and have a South Korean resident card). They must register at https://cov19ent.kdca.go.kr/ before departure and will receive a QR code which must be presented upon arrival;
  • Starting April 1, 2022, free quarantine provisions apply for:
  • Passengers with a COVID-19 vaccination certificated showing that they were fully vaccinated at least 14 days and at most 180 days before arrival. They must register at https://cov19ent.kdca.go.kr/ before departure and will receive a QR code which must be presented upon arrival;

Starting May 23rd 2022

In addition to the RT-PCR requirement 48 hours before departure, 24-hour RAT (Rapid Antigen) results performed at health agencies before departure can also be used as a flight requirement.

Starting  June 1st 2022

  • Post- Entry adjustment, regarding changes in checking when arriving at ICN where PCR will be carried out independently on the 6th-7th day after the arrival of vaccination
  • For children under the age of <12 years who have not been vaccinated and accompanied by a companion who has received the 2nd dose of vaccination will be given isolation-free

Starting September 3, 2022
Based on the information received from (Korean Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport) MOLIT and ICN Quarantine, here are the latest requirements for passengers entering Korea:

  1. No more confirmation results for Antigen or PCR tests before entering Korea
  2. The use of the Q-CODE web is still being used and all data is still requested to be listed on the Q-CODE Web. (https://cov19ent.kdca.go.kr/cpassportal/)
  3. Passengers arriving at ICN airport are still required to undergo a PCR test independently 1x24 hours after arriving (for tourists are advised to take a PCR test at the airport here is the link to book the test at Incheon International Airport Terminal 2) https://safe2gopass.com/
  4. Covid test results after arrival please input / upload to the web Q-CODE (https://cov19ent.kdca.go.kr/cpassportal/)
  5. For the distribution of the form before landing, the Travel Declaration Form (White) is currently no longer used and the Health Declaration Form (Yellow Colored) is still used and distributed before landing at ICN.
Amsterdam

Amsterdam - Schipol International Airport (AMS)

Australia - Melbourne International Airport (MEL), Perth International Airport (PER) & Sydney International Airport (SYD)

From 6 July 2022, From 6 July 2022, travel restrictions to/from Australia have changed. All passengers should be aware that:

  • Passengers entering Australia do not need to provide evidence of vaccination status
  • Passengers entering Australia do not need to complete the Digital Passenger Declaration
  • Passengers leaving Australia will need to follow the travel regulations of their arriving destinations
  • Masks are still required on Garuda Indonesia flights
    Other airlines and countries may have specific requirements that passengers need to comply with.
    Each state and territory in Australia has its own travel requirements. Passengers travel to Australia should check the requirements of the state or territory you are travelling to. Requirements could include COVID-19 testing after you arrive in Australia or vaccination requirements to visit certain venues or work in certain occupations. Saudi Arabia
  • Starting March 5, 2022, Passengers are not required to submit negative results for PCR tests or Rapid Antigen Tests that are approved before coming to Saudi Arabia and institutional quarantine & home quarantine obligations are not required
  • Passengers must have a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated with AstraZeneca (Covishield), AstraZeneca (SK Bioscience), AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Janssen, Moderna (Spikevax), Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty), Sinopharm or Sinovac at least 14 days before departure
  • Passengers must register in the following platforms :
    • Resident & Visitors: on Muqeem platform before coming to the Kingdom
    • Resident: In the event that vaccinations are obtained outside the Kingdom, this will be registered through the health platform The External Vaccination Portal
  • Passengers must have medical insurance to cover COVID-19 expenses
  1. For domestic to international transit (connecting flights) passengers, they are advised to meet the of the transit airport requirements (refer to the table of domestic flight requirements above)
  2. Foreigners under 12 years old who will leave the Indonesian territory and have a transit/connecting domestic flight are not required to show a vaccine certificate, provided that they are accompanied by a parent with a negative RT-PCR test result (this not apply to domestic flight only with no connecting international flight)
  3. Foreigners who are not/yet vaccinated and are leaving the Indonesian territory through a transit/connecting domestic flight are not required to show a vaccine certificate, as long they do not leave the airport area during transit
  4. For outbound international flights (exiting Indonesia) with destination country that requires a RT-PCR test result, RT-PCR test must be done in one of health facilities listed below (except for specified destinations with specific requirements of health facilities from the destination country (like South Korea)):
