BANGKOK

Bangkok is known as the central of small trade and port community of the west coast of Chao Phraya river about 200 years ago. Currently, although the city features modern convenience, the grandeur and luxury of its past are still very strong today. Start your journey by visiting Wat Arun or usually called by the local people as Wat Chaeng. It is located at the west part of Thonburi at the coast of Chao Phraya river. This is one of the magnificent temples in Bangkok, not only because of its astonishing location by the river, but also because of its unique designs. Wat Arun (temple of the dawn) consists of a tower decorated with colors and stand majestically on the water.

Don’t forget to stop by at Grand Palace and Wat Prakeaw. Floating market in Damnoen Saduak is also one of top spots that you need to visit. Variety of local dish are sold here; from tropical fruits and fresh vegetables, coconut water ready to drink and local delicacies cooked from the floating kitchen right on top of the boat! Chatuchak Weekend Market is the shopping hot spot for tourists that you must visit during your stay in Bangkok. This market housed more than 8,000 small kiosks. On the weekend, there are more than 200,000 visitors that come here and go crazy-shopping. After strolling around the city, don’t forget to try Pad Thai, Tom Yum, or Thailand’s most famous dessert: Mango with Sticky Rice.
