Singapore, 2 December 2018 – Following the launch of its Singapore – Tanjung Pandan route on last October, Indonesia flag carrier, Garuda Indonesia furhter strengthen its regional network by opening its direct flight between Singapore – Bandung which will be served 4 times a week with its Boeing B737-800 NG.
Director of Commercial Garuda Indonesia, Pikri Ilham Kurniansyah stated that the flight operation is in line with the airline’s future expansion plan, and the continuously commitment as the flag-carrier to help boost Indonesia's economic, business, and tourism growth - especially the airline’s strong commitment to continuously support the Indonesian government’s program to double the number of international tourists visiting the country by 2019.
“The opening of this new service is also a part of the commitment of Garuda Indonesia in providing wider choice of destination in Indonesia – especially Bandung, which is also known as one of the leading education, culinary and fashion cities in Indonesia”, Pikri said.
Pikri added, "Changi Airport is one of the largest transportation hubs in Southeast Asia. With more than 60 million passengers served every year at Changi International Airport, Singapore is one of the most potential shares for Garuda Indonesia.”

The Singapore-Bandung service will be served every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, departing from Singapore Changi Airport at 11.00 LT while it will arrive at Husein Sastranegara International Airport in Bandung at 12.00 WIB. The return flight will be departing from Husein Sastranegara International Airport in Bandung at 12.50 WIB and arrive at Singapore Changi Airport at 15.55 LT.
Currently Garuda Indonesia serves 88 flights per week to and from Singapore to cities in Indonesia such as Singapore – Jakarta (9x daily), Singapore – Surabaya (daily), Singapore – Denpasar (2x daily) and Singapore – Tanjung Pandan (4x per week).
