Otherwise known as Denpasar International Airport, I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport is the main air transportation hub in the magical island of Bali.
As the third busiest airport in Indonesia, Ngurah Rai airport recently went under a major makeover that has taken it up to international standards.
With up to 20 million passengers coming in and out of the airport each year, the expansion and renovation was a much-needed improvement for the airport. Located only 13 km from Denpasar’s city center and only a 10-minute drive to the famed Kuta Beach, the new and improved Ngurah Rai airport now houses dozens of shops, cafes and restaurants that both domestic and international passengers will find enlightening while waiting for their next flights.
Recently, Canggu is the spot for people who’d like to escape the hustle and bustle of Kuta and Seminyak. Only 25 minutes away from Seminyak, Canggu offers a different atmosphere and rhythm than the surrounding regions.
Expect busy street sides, with rice fields cramped between hip cafés and restaurants, and trodden by surfers as they heading towards Echo Beach and Berawa Beach, Bali’s very own Surfer’s Paradise.
It might be the best place go in Bali for those who live ‘hipster’ lifestyle.
Desa Seni
One of Canggu’s best kept secrets, Desa Seni is known for its yoga classes and personal yoga retreats and marked as a must place to visit in Bali, especially by expatriate community. Nestled in Subak Sari Street, Desa Seni offers different kinds of yoga classes taught by certified yoga practitioners. Newbies need no worry as Desa Seni has something for everyone - from basic yoga and Kundalini Yoga for beginners, to Vinyasa Yoga that caters advanced yogis and Tantra and Ashtanga yoga for more specific needs. All yoga classes are held in the open-air studio that provides morning breeze and warm sunlight, with around IDR 140,000 per session of 1-1,5 hours duration. Check the class schedule and all information for yoga retreats at http://www.desaseni.com/!
Finn’s Beach Club
Since its launch in June 2016, Finn’s Beach Club on Berawa Beach has been attracting party goers and eventually became their favourite hangout spot in Bali. Their boasting on environmentally-friendly interior is justifiable by bamboo and wooden elements here and there that create laidback atmosphere. Don’t forget to book your beach beds ahead so you can lounging comfortably around the pool while sipping cocktails and listening to in-house DJ until the sun sets.
