Kafe Batavia
One of the Jakarta attractions is the old town of Jakarta, and sitting right across the Fatahillah Museum that holds some of the capital’s historical stories is Kafe Batavia. It offers a unique dining experience inside a historical landmark that was built in 1850 as an office for the Dutch East Indies’ government. In 1990, Frenchman Paul Hassan turned it into an art gallery, and a year later an Australian bought the gallery in 1991 and turned it into Kafe Batavia.
