  • Online Check-in is not available for the following passengers:
    • Passengers without purchased e-ticket
    • For infants under 2 years old not occupying a seat
    • Passengers who need special assistance at the airport e.g.) customer with pregnant condition, children aged less than 12 years old who travel alone, Unaccompanied Minor (UM), require a wheelchair, stretcher case, or other special handling in airport.
    • Passenger with Staff Ticket ID
  • You are being assigned with your seat by default but you may change your seat preference by Internet Check-in.
  • Please report your Internet Boarding Passes (both of PDF boarding pass and mobile QR barcode boarding pass) first to the Airport Check-in Counter before Boarding.
  • For international flights, please make sure that you have your Passport with the validity minimum six month from date of travel and other valid travel documents e.g.) Visa document required for the trip and present them to the Garuda Indonesia check-in counter at the Airport.
  • Boarding gate number and seat number may be changed without notice for reasons such as the circumstances at the airport on the day of the flight, or a change of airplanes. Please check the airport information display system after arriving at the Airport.
  • If you fail to complete the Internet Check-in procedure due to a technical problem, such as a printer or system error, please refer to the instructions on the page, and complete the boarding procedure at a Airport Check-in Counter.
  • Internet Check-in service is available from 24 hours to 4 hours before departure

    Information:

  • For use of the service, please present the e-ticket with confirmed reservation.
  • For prompt customs and immigration procedures, please bring your passport and fill in your passport information in internet check-in process.
  • Passengers with connecting flight, Check-in only can be done sequentially.
  • Please arrive early for quarantine and security checks. Please complete the check-in procedure at the Airport Counter at least 60 minutes before departure for domestic flights, and 90 minutes before departure for international flights.  
  • Carry-on baggage should be limited to one piece, must not weigh more than 7 kg (both of Economy and Business Class), with a maximum size of length 56 cm, width 23 cm, and height 36 cm (for CRJ and ATR Aircraft type maximum size of length 41 cm, width 17 cm, and height 34 cm).
  • Please make sure that you have not packed any valuable and or dangerous goods and or forbidden in your checked baggage as stipulated in the prevailing laws.
  • Please make sure that the baggage are you belonging, packed by you, and under your supervision.
  • Check-in at the Airport close 45 minutes to international departure, and 30 minutes to domestic departure.
  • Boarding Gate open 120 minutes to departure and Aircraft door close 10 minutes to departure.
  • Passengers who make cancellation have to report to Check-in counter or Garuda Indonesia Call Center.

Baggage means customer's belongings or personal property deemed necessary or appropriate for wear, use, comfort or convenience. This includes both checked and unchecked baggage, unless stated otherwise.

Items such as medicine, money, jewelry, negotiable papers, securities, valuables and documents will not be included in checked baggage, but should be carried by passengers at all times. We recommend you to pack your belongings in proper luggage to avoid damage to contents. All baggage (checked/unchecked) must be x-rayed.

We remind you to attach nametag, address and telephone number (in English), as these will be helpful for identification in case your baggage is lost during your journey. Garuda Indonesia offers blank nametags, free of charge, at all check-in counters.

Garuda Indonesia Travel Insurance is a travel insurance program that is offered exclusively by Garuda Indonesia to its customers.

Who can purchase Garuda Indonesia Travel Insurance?

Any Garuda Indonesia passengers who purchase Garuda Indonesia tickets online can purchase Garuda Indonesia Travel Insurance on any route of the Garuda Indonesia network where it is offered. The passenger must be a valid and legal resident of the country of departure that Garuda Indonesia flies from and where Garuda Indonesia Travel Insurance is offered.

Does Garuda Indonesia Travel Insurance enforce an age limit?

No age limitation.

What is the coverage period of Garuda Indonesia Travel Insurance?

For return trip, Garuda Indonesia Travel Insurance covers you for the duration of your trip or to a maximum of 30 days from the date of travel for Domestic routes and 90 days from the date of travel for International routes. For One Way trip, cover terminates upon Insured’s safe disembarkation at the end of the scheduled flight.

What do I do if I encounter an Accident?

It is important that you call the number of 24 H Travel & Medical Assistance, as detailed in your policy before taking any action. For any outpatient treatment, please retain all original receipts and claim them on your return to your place of residence or country of residence. For further details please refer to the Claims Procedure & the Claims Document in the insurance page or your Policy Wording.

Can I cancel my Garuda Indonesia Travel Insurance policy?

Garuda Indonesia Travel Insurance is cancellable and refundable within 24 H of purchase. After 24H of purchase, Garuda Indonesia Travel Insurance is noncancellable and non-refundable.

Does Garuda Indonesia Travel Insurance optional or mandatory with airfare?

Garuda Indonesia Travel Insurance is optional. You can tick “No” to take out Garuda Indonesia Travel Insurance from your booking.

Can I amend my Garuda Indonesia Travel Insurance policy period?

Yes, the Garuda Indonesia Travel Insurance policy can be modified/amended in special cases; the change can only be made prior to the departure of the first leg of the journey. What happens to my Garuda Indonesia Travel Insurance if Garuda Indonesia rescheduled my return flight to later date?

Your Garuda Indonesia Travel Insurance is automatically extended up to a maximum of 30 days if your Return Flight is rescheduled by Garuda Indonesia to a later date.

Do I have to carry a copy of my Garuda Indonesia Travel Insurance certificate when traveling?

No, you don't need to carry a copy of your Certificate of Insurance. All you need is your Policy Number which will be available to you from the email you will receive after purchasing the plan. And the 24-hour Travel & Medical Assistance phone number: +62 21 2926 9988.

What to do if I lost or didn’t receive my Garuda Indonesia Travel Insurance certificate?

Your Garuda Indonesia Travel Insurance was successfully processed if it is reflected on the Confirmation Page of this site. When does my Garuda Indonesia Travel Insurance begin?

Coverage begins when you check-in for your Garuda Indonesia Departure Flight. The Trip Cancellation Benefit takes effect on the Issue Date.

How will my medical expense be paid under Garuda Indonesia Travel Insurance policy?

You will be reimbursed for outpatient medical expenses incurred as a result of a covered sickness & accident as detailed in the insurance page or your Policy Wording. For emergency sickness and accident inpatient medical expenses overseas, you can call our 24H Travel & Medical Assistance prior to admission to hospital or as soon as possible for hospital arrangement and possible guarantee to hospital (for covered sickness & accident). For Domestic routes, medical expense is limited due to accident only.

If I have to be hospitalized with no adult member of my family is there to accompany me, does Garuda Indonesia Travel Insurance cover additional expense for my family to visit and be with me during hospitalization?

This is covered under Compassionate Visit benefit, with condition detailed in the insurance page or your Policy Wording. This benefit only applicable for return trip.

What do I get from Flight and Baggage Delay benefit?

We will pay certain amount of benefit for each 4 consecutive hours of delay with maximum limit of benefit detailed in your Certificate of Insurance.

Can I cancel my trip for any reason and get my airfare cost through Trip Cancelation benefit?

The Trip Cancellation Benefit is only applicable for insurable reasons indicated in the insurance page or your Policy Wording. Covered reasons include, but are not limited to, unforeseen emergencies such as illness, injury or death involving you, your travel companion and/or an immediate family member.

Does Garuda Indonesia Travel Insurance cover pre-exiting condition?

Garuda Indonesia Travel Insurance has exclusions on pre-existing conditions as detailed in the insurance page or your Policy Wording. "Pre-existing Condition" refers to injury, sickness, disease, illness or other medical conditions that you knew about before you purchased Garuda Indonesia Travel Insurance.

Does theft covered?

Yes, Garuda Indonesia Travel Insurance covers theft of personal effects in Hotel and Public Places (and damage due to attempted theft) as long as it occurs during the duration of your policy. Theft of of Cash is also covered. These benefits only applies to International routes, return trip.

Does Loss of Baggage covered?

Yes, it is covered, with limit as per Table of Benefit. Sublimit per item applies, and there is USD 25 of own risk.

Can I file a claim for flight cancelation by Garuda Indonesia?

No. Garuda Indonesia Travel Insurance does not cover claim if the airline cancels the flight.
