A Simpler, More Seamless Baggage Experience with the Piece Concept

Applicable to all tickets purchased or issued on or after 1 September 2026, Garuda Indonesia will introduce the Piece Concept as the new standard for complimentary checked baggage allowance. Under this policy, your baggage allowance will be determined by the number of bags you may check in, with a specified maximum weight for each bag, replacing the previous weight based calculation. This policy applies to all Garuda Indonesia operated flights.

Your ticket will clearly indicate the number of bags included in your allowance, together with the maximum permitted weight for each bag, giving you greater clarity and confidence when preparing for your journey.
