Additional Terms and Conditions for Passenger Travel During the Mass Exodus Period 22 April - 24 May 2021

Requirements for Inbound Indonesia from Europe/Amsterdam.

  1. Inbound Indonesia: Refers to SE Satgas Penanganan Covid-19 No 8 of 2021, effective from 09 February 2021 until further notice, Foreigners (WNA) are not allowed to enter/transit in Indonesia. See below the exemption policy of foreigners permitted to enter Indonesia, while there is no restriction for Indonesian Citizens entering Indonesian territory, as long as it follows the document requirement. 

The Indonesian authorities have taken the following steps to further limit the risk of community spread in Indonesia with the restrictions on the visit of Foreign Citizens to enter Indonesia effective 09 February 2021 until further notice, based on SE Satgas Penanganan Covid-19 No 8 of 2021. Referring to Regulation of Minister of Law and Human Rights Number 26 of 2020 regarding Visa and Stay extension Permit in Indonesia, herewith we deliver several provisions Visa and/or Stay Permit as referred consist of:

1.     Official Visa;
2.     Diplomatic Visa;
3.     Visitor Visa;
4.     Temporary Stay Visa;
5.     Official Stay Permit;
6.     Diplomatic Stay Permit;
7.     Temporary Stay Permit (KITAS); and
8.     Permanent Stay (KITAP).

As for foreign citizens with the above conditions can enter Indonesian territory by the following requirements in the mentioned table.

These measures are temporary and shall be evaluated pursuant to further development.

Additional Terms and Conditions for Passenger Travel During the Mass Exodus Period 22 April - 24 May 2021
In connection with the issuance of the Circular Letter Task Force for COVID-19 Handling Number 13 of 2021 + Addendum, we hereby convey the following:

  1. Mass exodus temporary elimination as an effort to control mobility during the holy months of Ramadan and Eid-al-Fitr 1442 Hijriah.
  2. Journey during the holy months of Ramadan and Eid-al-Fitr 1442 Hijriah are excluded for travelers below with urgent needs for mass exodus interests:
    • Work/business travel
      Print out of a written permit from the head of the company, complete with a wet signature/ electronic signature of the head of the company and print out of the identity card of the prospective traveler.
    • Sick family visit
    • Family member bereaved visit
    • Pregnant woman and 1 family member as a companion, but for the purpose of childbirth, up to a maximum of 2 people are allowed to accompany
    • Requires Health services
  3. Travelers with urgent needs as stated above are required to have a print out of a written travel permit from the related institution or Exit / Entry Permit (SIKM) to exit/enter DKI Jakarta and submit the Travel Statement in Controlling COVID-19 in Indonesia [download here]

In accordance with the provisions of SE Task Force Number 13 of 2021 and adjustable to the conditions of each arrival station, it is informed that:

  • Travelers are required to carry out self-quarantine for 5x24 hours except for the purpose of work / official travel, sick family visits, grief visits of deceased family members, pregnant women who are accompanied by 1 family member, for childbirth interest are a maximum of 2 people.
  • The implementation of mandatory quarantine for trans-city / regency / province / country travelers for 5x24 hours at government facilities or hotels that are able to apply strict protocol discipline at independent costs.

*IMPORTANT* Updates on Indonesian Immigration Regulations during Covid-19 - Visa and Immigration Services of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia

Dear Garuda Indonesia customer,

On 8th of February , due to the current global pandemic situation, the Indonesian government has issued new regulations for entering Indonesia for all passengers.
Please find the latest conditions for customers traveling from Europe to Indonesia below, as communicated by the Indonesian Government.

The new temporary ban on the entry of foreign nationals originating from all countries into Indonesia will be effective from the 9th of February until further notice.

Indonesian and foreign nationals must observe the protocols as mentioned below: 

  1. Temporary ban on the entry of foreign nationals originating from all countries to Indonesia.
     
  2. Provisions as regulated in the Addendum of the Circular Letter of the Covid-19 Handling Task Force No. 3/2020 applies for all foreign nationals arriving on the 28th until the 31st of December, 2020.
     
  3. Inbound travelers of Indonesian nationality must observe the health protocols set by the government of Indonesia. 

  4. Foreign nationals originating from all countries are temporarily banned from entering directly or by transit at any foreign country to Indonesia. Exemptions can be found on the embassy page.
     
  5. Indonesian nationals traveling directly or by transit at any other country departing from foreign country into Indonesia must present negative result of Covid-19 RT-PCR test from first embarkation point which sample is taken within 72 hours before departure. The document must be shown during medical examination or attached in Indonesia International e-HAC.
     
  6. Travelers must take another RT-PCR test upon arrival and obliged to undergo quarantine for 5 days. Indonesian nationals will be assigned in special quarantine accommodation provided by the government and foreign nationals in quarantine accommodation (hotel/lodging) which has been granted certification of COVID-19 quarantine accommodation by the Ministry of Health at their own expense.
     
  7. Should RT-PCR test taken upon arrival shows positive result, Indonesian nationals will receive treatment at the hospital under the government’s expense, and foreign nationals will receive treatment at the hospital at their own expense. 

  8. After 5 days of quarantine since the date of arrival, traveler must take another RT-PCR test.
     
  9. Should the test as stipulated in point 9 shows negative result, Indonesian national and foreign national may continue their travel.
     
  10. Should the test as stipulated in point 9 shows positive result, Indonesian nationals will receive treatment at the hospital under the government’s cost, and foreign nationals will receive treatment at the hospital at their own expense. 
  • RT-PCR = Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction 
  • Garuda Indonesia can rebook to a later departure date without additional costs (Excluding new compulsory taxes from the Dutch government as per departure on/after 1 January 2021).

Garuda Indonesia strongly recommends all customers to *:

  • Monitor the dedicated websites of the embassy of Indonesia in The Hague and the Indonesian government for the latest updates.
  • Try to obtain a negative PCR test result written in English from a test taken not more than 72 hours from departing flight from Amsterdam, or at least as recent as possible.
