PASSENGER REQUIREMENT FOR DOMESTIC FLIGHT FROM AND TO PSBB REGION/RED ZONE IN INDONESIA

Garuda Indonesia supports government policy through the Minister of Transportation Regulation No. 25 of 2020 concerning Transportation Control during the Eid Mubarak 1441 H season in the framework of Preventing the Spread of COVID-19.

Based on that regulation, Garuda Indonesia has some policies related to the ticket in booking and travel period until 1 June 2020. The ticket must be issued via Garuda Indonesia’s website, GIA Mobile App, sales office, and Contact Center.

Before you book the ticket, please check the Garuda Indonesia’s routes during PSBB period regularly here. Furthermore, Garuda Indonesia only serves passengers with these criteria:

  • Heads of the Highest State Institutions of the Republic of Indonesia or State Visit.
  • Operational of Embassies, General Consulate, and Foreign Consulates as well as representatives of international organizations in Indonesia.
  • Special repatriation flight operations for the repatriation of Indonesian Citizens as well as Foreign Citizens.
  • Operational of law enforcement, order enforcement, and emergency services.
  • Other operations (with permission from the Director General of Civil Aviation).
  • Passenger who works for Government Organization or Private Sectors (Civil Servant, Indonesian National Armed Forces, Indonesian National Police, State-Owned Enterprises Staffs, Business Institution, Non-Government Organization) who perform these services:
    • Accelerating COVID-19 Handling Services.
    • Defense, security and public order services.
    • Health Services.
    • Basic Needs Services.
    • Basic Support Service.
    • Essential economic functions services.
  • Patients who need emergency health services or individuals with seriously ill or deceased direct family members (parents, spouse, children, siblings).
  • Repatriation for Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI), Indonesian Citizens, and students who are abroad, as well as individuals with special reasons from the Government to their area of origin, in accordance with the applicable regulations.

For every passenger who wants to travel must follow the health protocols due to COVID-19 by wearing mask at the airport area and during flight, also keep physical distancing. The passenger must show these documents below as travel requirements at the check-in counter:

  1. For all passenger in any flight:
    All passenger included to the category above must download and fill the form here .
  2. Passenger who works for Government Organization or Private Sectors based on the criteria above:
    • Statement Letter to fulfill official duties/business trip that is authorized by the Official (min. Echelon 2).
    • Statement Letter to fulfill official duties/business trip that is authorized by the Director or Chief of the office.
    • Health Certificate Covid-19 Free Statement Letter from a hospital doctor, clinic or puskesmas, which you’re entitled after undergoing a series of tests, including rapid test or swab test/PCR with a non-reactive/negative result within 7 days before departure.
    • For passenger who doesn’t represent Government Organization or Private Sectors must include Statement Letter with a duty stamp authorized by the local Headman/Head of Village (Lurah/Kepala Desa).
    • Identity card (KTP or other legal identity card).
    • Report of travel itinerary (departure schedule, activity rundown on destination, return schedule).
  3. Patient who needs urgent health care or condolences visit to a main family member:
    •  Identity card (KTP or other legal identity card).
    • Reference letter from a hospital for patient who needs urgent health care on the destination.
    • Family’s member death certificate.
    • Health Certificate Covid-19 Free Statement Letter from a hospital doctor, clinic or puskesmas, which you’re entitled after undergoing a series of tests, including rapid test or swab test/PCR with a non-reactive/negative result within 7 days before departure.
  4. Repatriation of Indonesian Migrant Workers, Indonesian Citizens, Indonesian Students or special repatriation with government permit to domestic destination:
    • Identity card (KTP or other legal identity card).
    • For foreign citizens, final destination is required to be the same as passport domicile, other requirements should refer to the state destination provision of the authorities which are provided on TIMATIC IATA (for Foreign Citizens).
    • Reference Letter from Badan Perlindungan Pekerja Migran Indonesia (BPPMI).
    • Reference Letter from University or School (for college student or student).
    • Health Certificate Covid-19 Free Statement Letter
      • Indonesian Citizens entering Indonesia: provide health certificate in English with a maximum 7 days validity from issuance from a health facility in the origin country and validated by the Port Health Authority in arrival airport.
      • Foreign Citizens entering Indonesia:  provide a health certificate in English with a maximum 7 days validity from issuance that stated a negative COVID-19 PCR result.
      • Indonesian Citizens or Foreign Citizens who cannot provide as the above requirements will be given special handling consequences by the Port Health Authority in the arrival airport.
    • Repatriation must be organized by a government institution, private sector or university.
