Garuda Indonesia’s Flights Jakarta-Singapore started international flight services at Terminal 3 Soekarno Hatta.
Cengkareng, April 25, 2017 – Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta Airport will officially launch international flight by the operation of Garuda Indonesia’s Jakarta - Singapore services GA 824 which is scheduled to depart on May 1, 2017 at 06.10 WIB. All GA 824 passengers can go directly to Terminal 3 to process the departure according to the flight schedule.
GA 824 will be the first flight that will be operate on the Terminal 3 from 1 May 2017. Currently Garuda Indonesia operates at least 17 international routes from and to Soekarno-Hatta Airport to a number of countries in Asia, Australia, And Europe.
Moreover, the departure area of Terminal 3 International can be reached by passengers through Gate 1 and Gate 2 and then proceed to departure at check-in counters of island A and B.
In anticipation of flow passenger adjustment in Terminal 3 later, Garuda Indonesia has also prepared 50 Family Assistance Center (FAC) personnel to ensure the smooth transfer of operational services in Terminal 3. Garuda Indonesia also prepares the shuttle bus facility to facilitate the transfer of passengers from terminal 2 to terminal 3 of Soekarno Hatta Airport.
Director of Services Garuda Indonesia Nicodemus P.Lampe said, "Through the transfer of international services in Terminal 3, Garuda Indonesia will further expand its pre to post flight service capacity,"
In terminal 3, Garuda Indonesia will operate 26 check-in counter as well as the increasement capacity of executive lounge which increase significantly with 2100 m2 area consists of 350 seat for business class and 56 seat for first class.
The amount is increased from the number of check-in counters currently operating in Terminal 2 of 13 with an executive lounge capacity of 180 seats. Pre flight service is also maximized by 36 self check in unit in terminal 3 which is already operated for domestic flights. Garuda Indonesia operates 6 international flight boarding gates of a total of 10 boarding gates which will be operated gradually until July 2017.
Director of Operations and Engineering of PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) Djoko Murjatmodjo said, "We are grateful for the support of the community, Ministry of Transportation and stakeholders at Soekarno-Hatta Airport so that on May 1, 2017 international route flight can be served through Terminal 3 where this first stage operated by Garuda Indonesia, "he explained.
"On 1st May, the building will be operated for international flights is only limited to the main building or the middle of the building, while for Pier 1 has not been operated. Therefore, the Gate that is opened for the process of boarding a plane or boarding new as much as 6 gate Gate 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10. We consider this is enough because only Garuda Indonesia will operate international flights starting 1st May 2017, "said Djoko Murjatmodjo.
Terminal 3 International is also equipped with a number of digital facilities such as flight information display system display with modern technology, and supported smartphone applications that can facilitate passengers or airport visitors looking for parking locations, book a parking garage, make a taxi reservation, see flight schedules, etc.
To ensure the smooth operation, terminal 3 is also equipped with 64 immigration counters, each with 32 immigration counters on departure and arrival. In addition there are 30 auto gate immigration, where each 15 auto gate immigration on departure and arrival.
At the security check point before entering the immigration area there are 12 units of x-ray and 2 units of body scanner to support the realization of security and safety at the terminal and aircraft. Meanwhile on the air side, Terminal 3 International provides 17 parking stands for aircraft which can also accommodate 3 wide body aircraft or wide body up to Airbus A380.
