Having the fastest average time in customs proceedings, Incheon International Airport has been named as one of the world’s best airports since 2005 by Airport Council International. Passengers shouldn’t worry about the cleanliness of the airport either, as it has also been dubbed as the cleanest airport in the world by Skytrax. Dozens of restaurants and shops can be found at Incheon Airport, as well as a golf course, spa, ice skating rink, indoor gardens, casino, and the Museum of Korean Culture. Arriving or transiting, everyone gets a treat!
For tourists and locals alike, Myeongdong is one of Seoul’s best shopping destinations and home to some of Korea’s best department stores such as Lotte, Noon Square, and M Plaza. In this shopping haven, you can find everything you could think of, from beauty products, fashion, to the merchandises of your favourite K-Pop groups. If you’re into culinary adventures, there are rows of restaurants and cafes to suit everyone. Movie theatres are also avilable in this area. If you come at certain times of the year, you can catch festivals that are held at least twice a year, presenting parades, fashion shows, music, and dance performances.
Nanta Performance
If you’re into performing arts, Myeongdong is definitely the place to be. Every day at the Nanta Myeongdong Theatre, you can enjoy different comedy performances that blend music, magic tricks, and mime using kitchen tools but still with an interesting storyline. This theatre holds over 300 seats that are comfortable for audiences of all ages. The seats are close to the stage for a more intimate experience with the performers.
Hanbok Experience
At Myeongdong, you can dress up in the Korean traditional dress, Hanbok, for free. This is a part of the International Seoul Cultural Center program, where visitors only need to make a reservation and come to the Seoul Cultural Center at M Plaza. If you don’t speak Korean, don’t worry, the Center has English, Chinese, and Japanese-speaking staffs to enlighten you on Hanbok and Seoul. A few things to note of before visiting: bring your own camera and six people in the most for one group.
