Starting on February 1st 2015, Garuda Indonesia will include Passenger Service Charge (PSC) in the price of the ticket when the passengers purchase the ticket in various Garuda Indonesia distribution channels such as contact center, travel agent, and online channel or web.
The inclusion of PSC in the price of the ticket which will be started on February 1st is only valid for passengers who fly on and from March 1st 2015. For passengers who fly before March 1st 2015, the PSC will not be included in the ticket, but should be paid in the airport during the check-in.
The inclusion of PSC on the price of ticket is in accordance with the Regulation of The Directorate General of Civil Aviation of Ministry of Transportation of RI. No. KP/447/2014 on September 9th 2014 on “Passenger Service Charge” (PSC) in the ticket. The implementation of this provision is in cooperation with PT Angkasa Pura I & II, airlines, and the International Air Transport Association (IATA). The implementation of PSC in the ticket is in accordance with IATA standards, and applies to all domestic and international airlines that fly to and from Indonesia.
With this provision, the passengers will no longer need to make a payment of PSC in the airport during check-in, so it will provide convenience and comfort for the passengers. Garuda Indonesia had once run the contract on the collection of “Passenger Service Charge (PSC)” in the price of the ticket with PT Angkasa Pura I & II in October 2012 to September 2014.
In connection with the implementation of this provision on and from March 1st 2015, the passengers are expected to come to the airport earlier and bring a "print" ticket to ease the check-in process.
