GarudaMiles in collaboration with Jejakin in a tree planting program to carbon offset and reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions produced in order to preserve the environment.
The type of tree to be planted is a Mangrove Tree which can absorb as much as 95.6 kgCO2e*.
The Mangrove Ecosystem have a major role in maintaining the stability of the ecosystem. Mangrove is a plant that have many functions including being a barrier to coastal abrasion, as a habitat for several animals and marine biota, as a seawater filtration, as a higher absorbent and carbon store compared to other terrestrial forests.
As GarudaMiles member, now you can participate and play a role in preserving the environment, by redeeming your miles into Mangrove Trees, to reduce carbon emissions generated from your flights or from your daily activities.
All mileage collected at the end of this program period will be used for tree planting with Jejakin.
