Soekarno-Hatta International Airport is the main gateway to visit Jakarta and Indonesia for inbound international flights. Often referred to as Cengkareng Airport, it is located some 20 kilometres from downtown Jakarta. Serving around 50 million passengers annually, this airport currently has four main terminals: Terminal 1 for domestic flight, Terminal 2 for international flight, Terminal 3 for low-cost carriers and the latest addition – Terminal 3 Ultimate – which will fully operate in 2017. The National Monument, or known as Monas has been the symbol of Jakarta since its completion in 1961 under President Soekarno’s administration. Up until now, tourists from all over the country and the world come to Monas and the areas around it for a better glimpse of the capital city.

Situated about 4 meters under Monas, the museum tells Indonesia’s history from the prehistoric era to the Indonesian independence in 1945 through an extensive series of dioramas.
