Stasiun Metro: Msheireb (Green, Red dan Gold Line)
Take a short walk along the underpass from Souq Waqif — or one stop away on the Metro—and a completely different vibe emerges. Doha’s recently pedestrianised and redeveloped downtown area bristles with upmarket cafes and restaurants popular with locals and visitors alike.
The Msheireb station is the largest metro station in Doha, connecting all three lines. Cobblestone streets greet you as soon as you leave the train station, reminiscent of chic inner-city neighbourhoods in old European cities. Take a relaxing walk in Msheireb or rest your legs on the free tram. Msheireb also houses a series of small museums where you can explore the heritage of Qatar.
Qatar loves to entice the world’s best architects to create their landmarks; the Museum of Islamic Art (IM Pei), National Museum of Qatar (Jean Nouvel) and also Al Janoub Stadium (Zaha Hadid), just to name a few, which makes Doha an absolute dream destination for architecture buffs. Each of these landmarks is stunningly unique, combining the symmetry and beauty of traditional Islamic architecture with cutting-edge modernity and sustainability.
