GarudaMiles Acceleration Program provides the opportunity to our loyal Blue, Silver, and Gold GarudaMiles regular member to accelerate their tier level into the highest by taking a specified number of flights throughout the program period.
GarudaMiles members who want to take part in The Acceleration Program is required to online sign up and agrees to follow the terms and conditions applied in Garuda Indonesia.
Accelerated Program Mechanism:
- Sign up period : 26 January – 30 April 2024
- Travel period : 26 January – 30 April 2024
- Valid for GarudaMiles Regular tier Blue, Silver and Gold members
- Valid for all prime flights on Garuda Indonesia’s Domestic & International routes, except Redemption Class and flight ticket with subclass E,U, and Z
- GarudaMiles members have the opportunity to upgrade their membership level more than 1 (one) time to the Platinum level by making a specified number of flights during the program period
- One-way Economy Class earn 1x
- One-way Business Class earn 2x

GarudaMiles Blue member, made 7x flights in Economy Class
- Total flight frequencies are 7 times
- Member automatically upgrade to Silver tier
- Member needs 6 times flights in Economy Class or 3 flights in Business Class (accumulation) to upgrade to Gold tier
GarudaMiles Silver member, made 6 times flights in Economy Class and 3 times flights in Business Class:
- Total flight frequencies are 12 times (1x for Economy Class and 2x in Business Class)
- Member automatically upgrade to Gold tier
- Member needs 4 times flights in Economy Class to upgrade to Platinum
- Member starting tier will be counted from the newest tier, even though at the time of registration they were still severel levels below. The opposite also applies, for example, GarudaMiles member is at the Gold tier level and some time later they go up to Silver tier, then the initial tier that calculated is at the Silver tier.
Simulation:
- On February 1st, 2024, member sign up with GarudaMiles Blue tier status
- On February 15th, 2024, member’s qualifications have been upgraded to Silver tier (based on an accumulation of 10,000 tier miles), so that the new status as Silver tier will be taken into the program
- If the member wants to upgrade to Gold status through the acceleration program, the member must fly 6 times in Economy Class or 3 times in Business Class
- Business Class from the Bid Upgrade, Instant Upgrade, and Upgrade by Miles programs are counted as Economy Class. Meanwhile, the Business Class of the upsell program is counted as Business Class.
- Tier update will be evaluated first, and the upgrade will be processed once a month which is start on 15th every month
- Not eligible for GarudaMiles Platinum, GarudaMiles Junior, Gold Privilege, Co-Brand UOB/Citibank, and other GarudaMiles membership that do not follow the regular qualifications
- GarudaMiles member status will remain regular and will apply a soft downgrade when the validity of the new tier has expired. Tier miles will be reset when the member reach Platinum tier
- The validity of the new tier is 12 month since being upgraded
- Retro claim cannot be taken into this program
- If the member have signed up for this program but have not achieved the specified target, the membership will not be adjusted
- GarudaMiles reserves the right to change the terms and conditions at any time without prior notice
