Soekarno-Hatta International Airport is the main gateway to visit Jakarta and Indonesia for inbound international flights. Often referred to as Cengkareng Airport, it is located some 20 kilometres from downtown Jakarta. Serving around 50 million passengers annually, this airport currently has four main terminals: Terminal 1 for domestic flight, Terminal 2 for international flight, Terminal 3 for low-cost carriers and the latest addition – Terminal 3 Ultimate – which will fully operate in 2017. Terminal 3 Ultimate’s modern architecture and technologically-advanced facilities are set to bring Soekarno-Hatta International Airport up to par with the world’s modern international airports.
One of the Jakarta attractions is the old town of Jakarta, and sitting right across the Fatahillah Museum that holds some of the capital’s historical stories is Kafe Batavia. It offers a unique dining experience inside a historical landmark that was built in 1850 as an office for the Dutch East Indies’ government.
