The Company always strives to reduce environmental impacts generated by the aviation industry. This is mainly done through aircraft operation that is environmentally-oriented which aims to reduce the level of emissions and waste and conserves energy and other natural resources. Through the implementation of operations that is environmentally-oriented as well as effective impact management, the Company also takes part in the global community's efforts to combat environmental issues such as global warming, waste, energy, and water. It has always been our endeavor to ensure a better future.
The Company's commitment to minimize the impact of business activities on the preservation of the environment, among others, is manifested in the form of Green Strategy that consists of Green Campaign (People), Green Action (Planet), and Green Responsibility (Profit). The programs are also in accordance with IATA’s Four Pillar Strategy (Improved Technology, Effective Operations, Efficient Infrastructure, Positive Economic Measures). Among the main objectives of this strategy, which is formulated in 2007, is to tone down the impacts of aviation industry on the environment.
Recent development in the Company's strategy related to environmental management in 2016 is focused on the effort to minimize the impact of business activities on the preservation of the environment including support for mitigation of climate change impacts and demonstrate best practices to achieve sustainability.
